During the ensuing 17 years, he chaired the Crosthwait Tournament three times and served on a wide range of Club committees such as Long Range Planning and House Committee. At present, he is fulfilling his third year term as a Board Director (1993- 1996 and 2005 to the present). Hanging on his wall is an Admiral’s Hat, awarded for outstanding service to the club.
Home for Harry is Snead Island, just a stone’s throw away from BYC, in the same waterfront house his three children, Lauren, Stephen and Lee, grew up in.
Professionally, Harry wears three hats: Licensed General Contractor, specializing in marine installations such as docks, lifts and seawalls; licensed real estate broker, specializing in commercial/industrial properties; and licensed sea captain, rated for 100 ton vessels.
He operated his own real estate brokerage until it was sold last year and now is affiliated with Leslie Wells Realty.
A native-born Californian, Harry was raised in Cincinnati OH, then attended schools in Louisiana and worked on off-shore oil rigs before moving to Florida. He is an alumnus of Leadership Manatee and Past President/member of Rotary Club Palmetto.
Wedding bells await Harry and his fiancé, Aimee Choquette, who is Events Planner for Mattison Restaurants.
