The Bradenton Yacht Club boasts a large community of anglers who enjoy fishing local waters, the Bahamasand beyond.  From Fly Rod purists to Offshore enthusiasts to Tarpon & Snook fanatics to just fun family fishing our members do it all.  In April we host the annual Croswaith Memorial Fishing Tournament.  This is the oldest amateur event in the state providing a family oriented event that also benefits local charities.  The de Soto Fishing Tournament, part of the month long Manatee Countyde Sotofestival, is held here in July. 

Planned for the 2009-20010 year are;

• The Year Long Members Tournament - Catch reports are recorded for bragging rites with catch-and-release ethics encouraged.

• A Ladies Gone Fishing Day - with professional instruction and a little angling for ladies only.  

• An Off the Wall Fun-a-ment - for children of all ages. Over the Top Fun Fishing from the BYC seawall.  

• Another �All things Fishing� buffet dinner evening featuring local professionals and contributions from local retailers.

• Another FlyFishingCollegetaught by nationally recognized professional fly instructors.
